Escape to the private Western Broadwalk where electro-pop duo Sneaky Sound System and DJ Yolanda Be Cool will be providing the beats to help end the year on a high. Front row on the Forecourt

Tickets: $25 adults / $10 concession. No booking fee applicable

For a great family-friendly and laid-back option, soak up the fireworks from a  prime position on the Opera House Forecourt. Bring all the picnic skills you gained out this year, make a day of it and set up your spot between 12pm - 3pm (just no BYO drinks). Or for minimum fuss take your pick from Sydney’s best food trucks onsite, from fan favourite gozleme to New York Deli-style Lenny’s Briskets, and enjoy the pop-up bar.

Party under the stars at Opera Bar

Celebrate love at La Bohème on New Year’s Eve

We're saddened to advise that La Bohème on New Year's Eve will not be going ahead on Friday 31 December 2021 due to the evolving COVID-19 situation. We understand this is very short notice, and are very sorry for the disappointment this may cause, especially at this time of year.

Customers who have purchased tickets will be contacted via email and/or phone with refund or exchange options.

Please note

  • The Opera House site will close to the general public from 8am on Friday 31 December. It will reopen for Forecourt ticketholders only at 12pm via a security checkpoint at the entrance to the site.
  • Opera Bar, Opera Kitchen, Portside Sydney and Bennelong will be closed to the general public and tours won’t be running on Friday 31 December.
  • A temporary box office on Macquarie Street will be open from 10am until 8pm on Friday 31 December for ticket collection and enquiries. 
  • The Sydney Opera House Box Office will be open from 4pm until 8pm on Friday 31 December for ticket issues only.
  • The Man O’War Steps will be closed from 8am on Friday 31 December until 1.30am on Saturday 1 January 2022.
  • There is no access to the Royal Botanic Gardens or Tarpeian Way via the Opera House site on Friday 31 December.
