Festival favourites since releasing their critically acclaimed debut
the So-Cal dream-rock quartet take on the Sydney Opera House with their infectious 2016 album
A powerhouse band that ebbs and flows from hypnotic bliss-outs to gripping live harmonies, Warpaint have mastered the art of ethereal rock and electronics. A 12-year collaboration between founding members Emily Kokal (vocals, guitar), Theresa Wayman (vocals, guitar, synthesizer) and Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass, backing vocals), the trio found their secret weapon when Sydney's own Stella Mozgawa joined on drums in 2009. A friend and collaborator to Jamie xx, Kurt Vile and fellow Australians Jagwar Ma, Stella's deep grooves with Jenny have ascended to club-like highs with rapturous effect on the recently released 'New Song'.
A rare band that can move masses without losing their enduring mystique, Warpaint finally make their Concert Hall debut with a three-album arsenal of indie-rock perfection.
