A generational R&B auteur makes his Australian debut

Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter, actor and producer Dijon — a pioneer of modern alternative R&B and neo-soul — is set to make his long-awaited Australian debut, bringing his acclaimed new sound to the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall for local audiences’ first live taste.

Dijon was seemingly everywhere in 2025: appearing on Bon Iver’s SABLE, fABLE, co-starring in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Oscar-winning One Battle After Another, earning a pair of Grammy nods for his contributions to Justin Bieber’s chart-topping SWAG (including the blockbuster hit Daisies), and releasing his critically revered second album, Baby — which drew comparisons to Frank Ocean, D’Angelo and Prince, and which Pitchfork described as a spectacular new vision of soul, pop and R&B.

Born in Germany and raised across Hawaii, Iowa and Maryland, Dijon Duenas emerged in the 2010s as one half of Abhi//Dijon before going solo on his 2021 debut Absolutely. An album that showcased his daring combination of soulful, funk-tinged vocals and experimental sonics. He was soon in high demand, co-writing and co-producing with the likes of Charli XCX, Mk.gee, Kenny Beats, Vegyn and many others.

Following a string of breathlessly received international dates, Dijon arrives in Sydney as the year’s hottest R&B ticket. This is your chance to see the future of the genre unfolding in real time.

The Dijon Australia 2026 tour is made possible through the support of triple j.
