Three sheep, a ram and a shepherd. What mischief will they get up to?

Canada

Blurring the line between human and sheep, CORPUS invites audiences to follow a flock through a charming and often hilarious exploration of sheep behaviour.

Meaning “The Sheep” in French, Les moutons is a delightful all-ages roving performance that blends dance, theatre and visual comedy. Created by Toronto-based physical theatre company CORPUS, this captivating wordless work merges reality and fantasy through a live installation that recreates a pastoral country scene.

Meet Julie, Marie-Louise, Bernadette and César, three healthy ewes and a young ram, as they go about their daily routines. Shearing, feeding, milking and other familiar farmyard activities are transformed into a magical performance that twists reality in surprising and often hilarious ways.

Having delighted audiences in more than 28 countries worldwide, this internationally acclaimed performance visits the Sydney Opera House Forecourt for the very first time.

Les Moutons was nominated for the 2003 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Choreography.
