Daniel Verstappen: The Cinematic Piano Experience featuring special guest violinist Yena Choi

Belgian-international pianist-composer Daniel Verstappen returns to the Sydney Opera House following his acclaimed 2024 debut as part of his Reconnection album tour. Known for blending classical elegance with cinematic sounds, Daniel performs alongside Melbourne-based violinist Yena Choi, one of Australia’s most versatile and in-demand musicians.

This unique concert features Daniel’s evocative original compositions, modern classical works and captivating reinterpretations of iconic film scores by composers such as Hans Zimmer (Interstellar, Time), Ennio Morricone (Cinema Paradiso, Gabriel’s Oboe), Nino Rota (The Godfather) and more.

Daniel has toured globally, performing at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the Philharmonie Luxembourg, while Yena’s career spans major orchestras and collaborations with artists including Hans Zimmer, Ed Sheeran and the BBC Concert Orchestra.

The performance invites audiences into a vivid musical world where cinematic colours, classical craft and modern emotion merge into a compelling live experience.
