18 - 22 July 2023

In the Concert Hall | Classical Music

The final and most exhilarating week of performances, with two orchestras, will draw together almost three weeks of competition and culminate with the announcement of the 2023 Grand First Prize Winner.

The final steps to glory

Six competitors have now played their way, over the last two weeks, into the Finals of the 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition. In just two final competitive rounds one will be gloriously crowned the winner. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will provide support for the final test of a 18th century concerto and a 19th/20th century concerto. Each finalist has selected one concerto from a prescribed-list for this ultimate battle round.

On conclusion of the final concert on Saturday 22 July return to the Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House at 8pm for a free but ticketed awards ceremony crowning the 2023 First Prize winner.
