Ancient energy comes alive in the Concert Hall

Transcending conventional genre, aesthetic and live experiences, Nordic experimental folk collective Heilung perform rituals, not concerts. Now, they’re bringing that ritual to the House.

Throat singing, bone instruments, reconstructed Iron Age costumes and an army of warriors: a Heilung performance is filled with the unexpected and that’s what makes them one of the most exciting live music acts in the world.

The Nordic experimental collective is the project of producer Christopher Juul, singer-songwriter and shaman Kai Uwe Faust and vocalist Maria Franz. Drawing upon runic texts and artefacts for lyrical inspiration and crafting soundscapes with everything from bronze weapons to running water, they dub their unconventional sound “amplified history”.

Immersive, hypnotic and spiritually resonant, their live ‘rituals’ encourage audiences to tap into a powerful primal energy connecting them to the very roots of humanity.

After a sold-out Australian visit in 2024 and on the heels of the announcement of their impending fourth album, Heilung brings their ritual to the Concert Hall for two special nights this autumn. Embrace the unexpected and experience music and community like never before.
