Iconic Britpop band return after 15 years

Of all the acts to break through on the wave of Britpop in the mid-1990s, none were as cool as Pulp, the glamorously wry Sheffield band fronted by the rock’s unlikeliest hero, the inimitable Jarvis Cocker. Now, performing live for the first time in 15 years - and only their third ever visit to Australia (1998 and 2011) - the band returns to Sydney to take over the Forecourt for two huge nights, performing their iconic hits alongside material from their acclaimed new album.

Having emerged from a period of relative obscurity with their 1994 album His ’n’ Hers, Pulp exploded to international fame with their Mercury Prize-winning 1996 follow-up Different Class, an irresistible fusion of pointed class satire, synth-flavoured glam rock and danceable, radio-ready hooks that yielded the classic anthem “Common People” and turned Cocker into a pop culture hero. The darker, paranoid This is Hardcore (1998) and We Love Life (2001) followed to more acclaim, with the band’s latest – 2025’s More – marking their first new material in a quarter century.

This is a rare chance to catch one of Britpop’s truly legendary acts in a career-spanning performance.
