Five performers. Four treadmills. One chance to beat the clock.

Imagine your weekly list of chores. Now imagine only having an hour to complete them. And an audience watching. Oh, and you’re running on a treadmill. Welcome to Burnout Paradise.

After winning the 2026 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience for its Off-Broadway run and earning five-star reviews at Edinburgh Fringe, this hilarious, unpredictable theatrical experience hits the House this summer.

Five performers armed with four treadmills, a bizarre assortment of props and a very ambitious goal race against the clock to complete their increasingly ridiculous tasks: brushing teeth. Sending emails. Performing a Shakespearean soliloquy. Cooking a three-course meal.

If they don’t complete their tasks before time runs out – while also beating their collective record for distance run – they’ll face the consequences.

From award-winning Australian experimental theatre collective Pony Cam comes this hysterical critique of hustle culture. A love letter to the labour, euphoria and recklessness that comes before total exhaustion, Burnout Paradise celebrates our optimistic desire to run headlong at life’s never-ending list of challenges.

Grab your friends, grab your tickets, and come embrace the chaos together.
