Sydney Opera House Presents
Meet the artist
Cat Ralph
Cat has been dancing her whole life, and teaching for half of it. She is intensively trained in a wide variety of styles - from ballet to hip hop, from Fosse repertoire to latin styles - which has greatly influenced the versatility of her choreography and personal style.
Cat recently finished touring in the ensemble of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat that showed at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne, followed by the Capitol Theatre stage here in Sydney.
Within the musical theatre realm, she has also played iconic dance roles in musicals such as Charity in Sweet Charity (Arcadians), Cassie in A Chorus Line (So Popera Productions), Annie in Chicago, Cha Cha in Grease, and the Cyd Charisse originated role of the Broadway Soloist in Singin’ in the Rain.
Teaching-wise, Cat is a regular fixture on the Brent Street full-time course schedule, as well as Sydney Dance Company’s theatre and jazz open classes.
16 Dec – 25 Feb 2024
Pair the workshop with the performance!
Experience a sparkling world inspired by Fitzgerald’s classic novel The Great Gatsby, where the parties of the 1920s meet with 2020s. Get ready to be outrageously entertained through the prism of cabaret, variety, and contemporary music.
