Duelling Pianos: Tamara-Anna Cislowska and Andrey Gugnin

Tamara Anna Cislowska and Andrey Gugnin headline this virtuosic concert of two-piano music featuring: original works, transcriptions of popular songs, a toy piano and Barbie.

Together, Australia’s darling of piano, Tamara-Anna Cislowska, and the 2016 Sydney Piano Competition winner, Andrey Gugnin, reunite to dazzle audiences with their virtuosic talents.

The concert will showcase original music by living Australian composers, Robert Melbourne, Sally Greenaway and Paul Smith, alongside fun transcriptions of popular songs arranged for two pianos, including Barbie Girl mashed with Rachmaninoff’s second piano concerto, jazz inspired works and the promise of a toy piano.

Our three composers will be at the concert to give short talks explaining their new works and mixing with the audience for a post-concert celebration.
