Mischa Maisky returns to Sydney to perform with his daughter and acclaimed pianist, Lily Maisky

Virtuoso Cellist returns to Sydney for one night.

Internationally renowned cellist Mischa Maisky returns to Sydney for a highly anticipated recital at the Opera House, joined by his daughter, distinguished pianist Lily Maisky. Celebrated for his rich, resonant tone and hailed by ABC Classic as “one of the most flamboyant and communicative personalities in classical music,” Maisky is admired for his emotional honesty, unmistakable intensity, and scores of acclaimed recordings. As Rostropovich’s favourite student, he carries forward a remarkable musical legacy. Alongside Lily, whose artistry complements her father’s, the duo delivers music-making of rare warmth, depth and expressive power. A unique opportunity to experience two exceptional musicians whose on-stage connection is as compelling as the repertoire itself. This will be an unmissable evening for Sydney audiences.

The exceptional program will include works by Schubert, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich.

Presented by Castiglione Arts and Culture with Greg Hocking Music
