Set against the iconic Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, Australia Day Live is a concert to inspire our national spirit.

It’s an unforgettable celebration of music, lights and dazzling fireworks to entertain the nation. Bring your family and friends to this free concert on the steps of the Sydney Opera House.

An all-star line-up of Australian artists will entertain you. You’ll meet much-loved characters and hear stories that reflect the diversity of our cultures, lifestyles and the quirkiness that makes Australia so unique.

Tickets are free, limited and released on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.

As allocation is strictly limited, we anticipate demand for tickets to significantly exceed supply. We apologise in advance for any disappointment if you miss out. Due to expected high demand, you may be placed into a queue to purchase tickets.

If you don’t get a ticket or can't make it in person, Plan B is watch it live on ABC TV and ABC iView.

Getting to the venue

The Opera House is a 7-10 minute walk from Circular Quay, and is easily accessible by car, train, ferry, lightrail, bus, bike and on foot.

NEW YEAR’S EVE 2025:
Everyone visiting the Opera House on NYE is strongly encouraged to plan ahead, use public transport wherever possible, and allow extra travel time. Large crowds are expected and significant road closures will be in place. For up-to-date transport information visit transportnsw.info. Access to the site for Forecourt ticket holders is between 12:00pm and 3:00pm via Macquarie Street, with cross city access via Bent Street

Set below the famous white sails the Forecourt is located at the base of the Monumental Steps, between the Opera House and the Royal Botanic Gardens.
