Hometown rock heroes return for their Sydney Opera House debut

Multiple ARIA Award-winning rockers Gang of Youths make their long-awaited return to play their first Australian live shows in nearly five years and their first-ever dates at the Sydney Opera House. The internationally acclaimed band will perform two blistering nights of rock ’n’ roll in the Concert Hall.

One of the nation’s most notorious rock exports of the past decade, the Sydney-born, London-based band – led by charismatic frontman David Le’aupepe – have thrilled critics and audiences with their soaring, emotionally charged alternative rock, equal parts epic and heart-wrenching. After breaking through with their top-five debut The Positions (2014), the band – buoyed by the now-classic singles “Let Me Down Easy” and “The Deepest Sighs, the Frankest Shadows” – landed a number-one album with their multiple-award-winning follow-up Go Farther in Lightness (2017) and again with the sonically ambitious angel in realtime. (2022).

Following a series of unforgettable live performances at home and abroad, Gang of Youths have been largely, uncharacteristically silent – until now. Making a triumphant return to the live stage, the band will play all of their biggest and most beloved hits, plus a few surprises. You won’t want to miss this one.
