Three generations connect through nature

France | 2025 | French | Documentary | All Ages

A visual stunner, drawing one million people to French cinemas. Photographer Vincent Munier journeys with his father and son through the Vosges, France. Featuring music by Warren Ellis.

Three generations of the Munier family connect and explore the forests and mountains of the Vosges in France and Norway, moving quietly to glimpse owls, bears, deer, lynxes and the elusive capercaillie. Vincent Munier (The Velvet Queen), the first three-time winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award, brings his unmatched eye for detail and light, crafting images that will inspire. Enhanced by the sounds of the forest and wildlife, with music contributions by composer Warren Ellis, the film fully immerses. Above all, it encourages us to put down our phones and reconnect with the extraordinary wildlife around us. A box office hit in France and winner of the 2026 César Award for Best Documentary Film.
