A concert of musical heavyweights, with Brahms’s monumental Violin Concerto performed by star violinist Karen Gomyo and Mozart’s final symphony, Jupiter, led by conductor Bernard Labadie

Mozart gathered all of his powers and skill for his final symphony, nicknamed ‘Jupiter’ because its grandeur was reminiscent of the king of the Roman gods. It still astounds with its energy and inventiveness, even after all these years. Conductor Bernard Labadie, one of the foremost conductors of Baroque and Classical repertoire, is the ideal interpreter for this grand work.

With his Violin Concerto, Brahms produced of the pinnacles of the violin repertoire. It demands so much of the soloist – but Karen Gomyo and her ‘spotless technique’ (Limelight) is more than equal to the task.
