Chief Conductor Simone Young leads a world-class cast of singers in Richard Strauss’s powerful, thrilling Salome, performed in concert at the Sydney Opera House

Shocking at its premiere, Salome remains one of the most electrifying nights you can spend in a concert hall: one single, unrelenting act that spirals towards its unforgettable close. A searing thriller that exposes its characters’ inner worlds in ways that words alone never could.

Simone Young brings her reputation as one of the world’s foremost interpreters of Richard Strauss’s music, together with a worldclass cast of vocalists, to present this masterpiece that is all too rarely performed in Sydney.

Presented by Sydney Symphony Orchestra
