The phenomenal artistry of pianist Víkingur Ólafsson reveals new insights into music by Rameau, Debussy and Philip Glass, and the connections between them

Víkingur Ólafsson is one of the most distinctive musical talents of our time, and in this shimmering recital he weaves Rameau, Debussy and Philip Glass together for an enthralling dialogue across the centuries.

Rameau’s music glitters with poise, its dances etched in fine detail. Debussy’s sound world shimmers and dissolves – scenes that float and fade before your eyes. Glass adds a hypnotic pulse, as patterns unfold with restless clarity and quiet intensity.

What unites them is balance of discipline and imagination, honouring structure while bending its rules. Ólafsson draws these connections into focus.
