Chefs of the House

Take your seat at the table as four of Australias most established and celebrated chefs who helm the kitchens at the Opera House showcase their culinary excellence. 

Chefs Danielle Alvarez, Peter Gilmore, Matt Moran and Mark Olive will each host a series of dinners in one of the Opera House’s most exclusive, hidden spaces. 

During this intimate shared-table experience, you’ll be personally guided through the distinct food philosophy and menu of the chef while visual projections and live performances complement each chef’s unique theme.

Taste of the House

Calling all foodies. Wine and dine your way around the Sydney Opera House's restaurants and bars in this progressive long lunch showcasing some of Sydney's best food, drinks and views all in one afternoon.

Tour & Dine

Make the most of a day out at the Opera House by going on our 1-hour tour followed by a lunch at one of our harbourside dining venues - the new House Canteen or Opera Bar.

Join us on a guided experience beneath the magnificent sails. Step inside and discover the extraordinary stories of this vibrant performance space before enjoying a show-stopping meal at either the House Canteen or Opera Bar. Take in some best views of Sydney Harbour while you enjoy lunch from our special Tour and Dine menu.

Opera Bar x Chiswick Pre-Theatre Dining

Monday - Thursday from 5pm

Head to Opera Bar this August for a pre-theatre dining experience in collaboration with Chiswick and Matt Moran. Enjoy an intimate and premium experience for theatre guests and those alike with a glass of Chandon Rosé, followed by a two-course menu curated by Chiswick and the Opera Bar culinary team.

Pre-theatre Dining at Bennelong

Reservations from 5.30pm

Experience the best that the Sydney Opera House has to offer with pre-theatre dining at Bennelong.

Enjoy Bennelong’s signature à la carte menu and relax before the show, with reservations from 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and 12pm, Friday to Sunday. Three-course choice menu available for $200 per person in the Restaurant, or two-course choice menu for $160 per person at The Counter.

Overture Dining

Pre-show experience for select Opera Australia shows

Sit back and relax before the show at Overture Dining.

Enjoy a delectable three-course set menu paired with a glass of sparkling cuvée on arrival, before heading into the performance in the Joan Sutherland Theatre.

Combined with uninterrupted harbour views, this will be the perfect start to your Opera Australia experience at the Sydney Opera House.

Immerse your taste buds in a symphony of flavours, featuring native ingredients like bush tomatoes, lemon myrtle, and finger lime. Book now for an unforgettable culinary journey celebrating Australia's rich heritage.

Family Sundays

Sit back and enjoy the view as the kids are looked after by in-house entertainer Renee, every Sunday at House Canteen. With a monthly rotating schedule of activities from face-painting, to themed arts & crafts to games & activities, she will entertain them for hours while you sit back, relax and enjoy a brunch platter with amazing views.

The Bennelong Bar

Wednesday to Friday from 5.30pm
Saturday & Sunday from 12pm

Located on the top tier of the restaurant, the Bennelong Bar is the perfect place for pre- or post-theatre plans, an after-work drink, or a nightcap after your meal.

Walk in and enjoy a premium selection of snacks, paired with signature cocktails, and views across to Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House sails. After 9.30pm, our late-night menu includes Australian cheeses, almonds, olives, and the Chocolate Crackle for a show-stopping finale to your evening.

Bennelong Presents Sunday Jazz

Reservations from 12pm to 3.30pm, and music until 4.30pm

Bennelong comes alive with the sounds of jazz, paired with Executive Chef Peter Gilmore's signature choice à la carte menu.
