Hip-hop’s Blak music supergroup make their Vivid LIVE debut

Exploding onto the Australian music scene with their scorching 2023 anthem OUR PEOPLE, ARIA award-winning First Nations collective 3% have rapidly established themselves as one of the country’s most vital and uncompromising hip-hop acts. With their fiery 2024 debut album KILL THE DEAD still rattling ears across the land, the trio’s hip-hop coronation continues with their first-ever performance at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid LIVE.

The hip-hop supergroup – whose name references the percentage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the Australian population – comprises the Yuin and Thungutti rapper, and host of triple j’s Blak Out, Corey “Nooky” Webster, Noongar rapper and Baker Boy collaborator Dallas Woods, and soulful Gumbaynggirr singer-songwriter Angus Field.

Boosted by the success of OUR PEOPLE – which reworked the The Presets’ 2008 hitMy People as a rallying cry for the Indigenous community – the group dropped last year’s KILL THE DEAD, an all-out sonic attack that boasted collaborations with Blak stars Jessica Mauboy and Tia Gostelow.

It’s bound to be one of Vivid LIVE’s most fiery performances – and a celebration of Blak joy, strength and resilience.
