Celestial vocals from an indie pop siren

Returning to the Sydney Opera House after her captivating Forecourt performance with Dan Sultan in 2025, award-winning singer-songwriter and indie pop siren Jem Cassar-Daley is set to make her solo headline debut in the Utzon Room as part of Vivid LIVE.

A proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung woman and the daughter of country music legend Troy Cassar-Daley, Jem Cassar-Daley has established a reputation for her magnetic stage presence, soulful vocals and heartfelt storytelling since emerging onto the scene in 2021. She has won the National Indigenous Music Award for New Talent of the Year with her debut EP, I Don't Know Who to Call (2022), earned the 2024 AIR Independent Song of the Year Award for her poignant King of Disappointment, and was nominated for the APRA Emerging Songwriter of the Year in 2025. In between, this rising star has shared the stage with artists including Thelma Plum, Peter Garrett, Tim Finn and King Stingray, dazzling audiences with her beguiling live performances.
