Pale Jay

23 May 2025

In the Joan Sutherland Theatre

Contemporary Music

In only his second-ever live performance, the enigmatic Pale Jay will appear in his signature red mask to deliver a soul-stirring set that transcends genre. A trained jazz vocalist and pianist, his music seamlessly blends elements of folk, indie, R&B, slow disco, Afrobeat, Latin rhythms, jazz, and funk. His falsetto, described by The FADER as “honey-dripped” and “dreamy,” evokes deep emotions and introspection.

Dreamy… Pale Jay’s honey-dripped vocals are so sweet.
