Sleek sounds from the dancefloor’s sultriest diva

With one of 2025’s most critically acclaimed records to her name, the UK-born, Canada-based singer-songwriter Rochelle Jordan is riding a long-deserved cultural high. coming into spectacular full command of her powers as a sleek and sultry diva of the dancefloor. Now she’s back and ready to levitate the Sydney Opera House Studio in her Vivid LIVE debut.

Born in the UK to Jamaican parents, Jordan moved to Toronto at an early age and captured attention with a trio of mixtapes and EPs – Alien Phase (2010), ROJO (2011) and Pressure (2012) – that put her on the cutting-edge of innovative, R&B-infused dance pop. Jordan’s gift for shapeshifting between house, UK garage and R&B lit up her acclaimed 2014 debut 1021, before a label setback saw her take a hiatus. She returned stronger than ever with the dazzling Play with the Changes (2021), in which her velvety R&B vocals melted into deep underground dance grooves and in 2025 delivered Through the Wall, a gleaming, late-night masterpiece of sensuous club cuts and luxurious vocal hooks that landed on multiple year-end best-of lists.
