R&B sounds influenced by Australia’s Pacifica and First Nations artists

Get ready for an evening of heavenly vocals and sublime, soulful R&B as two of Australia’s most gifted young First Nations performers take the stage for their Vivid LIVE debuts.

A descendant of the Samu and Suy people of Saibai Island, ZIPPORAH found her creative voice with a masterful blend of R&B, soul and jazz-inflected music. Led by the raw and intimate Consequences, ZIPPORAH’s debut EP NAUNGU URUI (2026) brings her distinctive charisma to the rich tapestry of R&B sounds among Australia’s Pacifica and First Nations artists.

The first-ever Aboriginal student to attend the prestigious Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University, proud Darumbal and Tongan woman Mi-kaisha draws upon both her love of soul tradition and pop melody, crafting R&B that blends deadly sweet singing with hard-hitting lyrics that reflect her experience as a young Blak woman. Her latest release is the luminous, gospel-infused Lean On You.

Don’t miss this chance to see two R&B divas in the making. They’re both about to get bigger and bolder from here.
