Launching a regular series platforming new and recent Australian films, Alphabet Lane is the feature debut of director James Litchfield, delivering a funny, twisted and often jaw-dropping take on the perils of tree-change.

Shot on a family cattle farm in the Monaro region of New South Wales, the darkly funny thriller follows Anna (Tilda Cobham-Hervey) and Jack (Nicholas Denton) as a young couple who have recently moved to the country. With the reality of their new situation failing to live up to their expectations, they jokingly invent imaginary neighbours to cope with their growing loneliness. As letters begin to arrive from their new friends, what started out as a joke soon comes to take over their entire relationship. Alphabet Lane is quietly unhinged and oddly romantic.
