Basement Jaxx The Full Live Show For The First Time In Over 15 Years

Euphoric big beats from a legendary London duo

From soundtracking some of the world’s most legendary parties to tackling Prince Harry while wearing gorilla suits, Grammy-Award-winning English duo Basement Jaxx have long been one of the most revered and beloved acts in dance music. Performing their full live show for the first time in more than a decade, Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe return to the Sydney Opera House for a career-spanning night of euphoric big beats on the Forecourt.

Emerging from the South London underground scene in the early 1990s, Basement Jaxx exploded onto the charts in 1999 with their multi-platinum, instant-classic debut Remedy, with its irresistibly sweaty smashes “Red Alert” and “Rendez-vu”. They’ve since shape-shifted between everything from house and UK garage to ragga, Latin jazz and ambient techno, going pop on 2001’s big-beat banger Rooty – with its era-defining anthem “Where’s Your Head At?” – and maximalist on 2004’s Grammy Award-winning Kish Kash, and collaborating with artists as varied as Kylie Minogue, Yoko Ono, Missy Elliott and PinkPantheress.

The band’s first Sydney Opera House appearance since their unforgettable orchestral show in 2019, the Forecourt performance promises to be one of their biggest and best to date.
