Evan Yako: A Global Sound Journey

Evan Yako is an Assyrian Australian drummer, composer and bandleader returning to the Sydney Opera House for his third major concert after two previous sold out performances.

This concert marks the official launch of his new album, Four Corners of the World, featuring 10 tracks of original compositions and reimagined classical works arranged by Evan.

Performed by an eight piece band, the music brings together original instrumental works and guest vocalists, inspired by Evan’s Mesopotamian heritage and musical influences from around the world. Blending world fusion with jazz, the performance features powerful rhythms, improvisation and rich musical storytelling. Four Corners of the World celebrates the way music connects people across cultures while offering audiences a memorable live concert experience.
