Refugee Week
Refugee Week is an annual celebration that shines a light on the extraordinary people who have come to Australia seeking safety, connection, and a new life for themselves and their families.
Refugee Week 2024 looks at the theme Finding Freedom. In a world marked by displacement and the search for refuge, Finding Freedom encapsulates the profound journey of resilience, strength, and unity that defines the refugee experience. It invites us to explore the stories of refugees who, despite the challenges they encounter, are determined to find freedom, whether it be through artistic self-expression, a new career, or finding love or friendships.
Presented by SSI in collaboration with CuriousWorks.
Enabled with the generous support of Matthew Allen, Helen Lynch AM & Helen Bauer, Skrzynski Foundation, and Sydney Opera House Donors.
