You’re an Insider from the moment your payment is processed successfully and you can take advantage of priority tickets and no booking fees straight away. We’ll confirm your membership by sending you a confirmation within 30 mins of your purchase. If you’re buying tickets on our website, make sure you stay logged in so that we know you’re an Insider. We’ll also send you a card within two weeks of signing up – allowing you to access all of the on-site discounts. If you have any issues, contact us on (02) 9250 7750 or email us.
We recommend you save your welcome email and the letter which contains your membership number in case you lose your card. If you do lose your card, call or email us confirming your details and we’ll get another one out to you right away.
Make sure you’re logged in and using the same username you used to sign up before purchasing anything on our website. If you’re still having any trouble accessing your priority tickets or you’re getting charged a booking fee let us know and we will try to fix it as soon as possible.
We’ll give you advance notice on as many ticket sales as possible so you get first chance to book before the general public. Your window of opportunity will vary so keep an eye out for our emails – which are generally sent every Tuesday morning. Please note, availability of seats will sometimes be limited.
Insiders have a Super Priority for most Sydney Opera House Presents shows, including most performances at our major festivals - Vivid LIVE, Festival of Dangerous Ideas and All About Women. When third party presenters already have pre-sales agreements in place with other organisations, Insiders will not always have a Super Priority. Super Priority also does not apply to any ticket ballots. Having said that, our team constantly negotiates priorities and timings with other organisations to give Insiders as much access as possible.
To be informed of new priority shows, keep an eye out for the weekly Insiders email. We send it every Tuesday morning. Occasionally we’ll also send you additional offers throughout the week. Make sure that you’re opted in to receive our email marketing or you won’t get your offers. You can do this at the bottom of the My Account section on our website.
If you’re logged into the website with your Insiders account, you’ll be able to purchase tickets to any priority access shows available.
When presenting the membership card, you receive a 10% discount with Opera Bar, Opera Kitchen, Portside and our Theatre Bars. The discount is not available at Bennelong. Discounts are not valid for private functions of events.
If you’re an existing customer - login to our website and click on your account in the top right hand corner. Click on the ‘activate your membership’ button and enter your activation code.
If you’re a new customer, you’ll need to register an account. Once you’ve registered an account, click on your account in the top right hand corner. Click on the ‘activate your membership’ button and enter your activation code.

Memberships can be activated over the phone by calling (02) 9250 7750 and quoting your activation code. To activate your membership in person, visit the Sydney Opera House Box Office, located Upper Level at Sydney Opera House.
