Ages 4+ | Edward is bored with his lot. Being the only emu at the zoo has him feeling glum and thinking perhaps the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Is life more fun for the seals or the lions or the snakes? Join Edward on his grand adventure of self-discovery as he explores the world outside of his enclosure and makes a very special friend along the way, Edwina the emu. Relaxed Performance

A separate quiet space outside is available before, during or after the show. There are no changes to the show itself or venue lighting. A social story and Access FAQ sheet explain what’s in the show as well as what the venue is like, to prepare ahead of time. Join us in the Western Foyers to see impressive ghost net art sculptures and be inspired to make your own turtle artwork.
Ghost nets are discarded fishing nets which pose a threat to our marine life. In this free drop in workshop we repurpose them in artmaking, inspired by the work of contemporary artists from the Torres Strait Islands.
This activity was originally designed by the Australian National Maritime Museum in partnership with Bangarra Dance Theatre for Waru - Journey of the small turtle.
