A magnificent concert series featuring musically diverse performances by over 1000 outstanding student musicians and vocalists from NSW public schools and high schools.

The Jacaranda Concert

The Festival of Instrumental Music features musically diverse performances from more than 1000 public school students in Combined Recorders and String Ensembles, supported by individual items from talented vocalists, instrumental soloists and ensembles. The Combined Recorder repertoire includes Marche Militaire by Franz Peter Schubert;  Singin’ in the Rain by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown; and The High Road by Tracy Burjan, to be performed with the Combined Strings. The string repertoire also includes A La Media Noche, a Puerto Rican carol, and The Robin Hood Adventure by Alex Pringle. This Festival will also feature the NSW Public Schools State Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Orchestra.
