Hyangha Lee is a creator who develops a wide range of musical forms based on traditional Korean percussion. For over 15 years, she has been devoted to the creation of original Pansori works, expanding the role of the Gosu (drummer) within Pansori and exploring new musical experiments. She seeks methods of creating Pansori that are deeply rooted in the essential sensibility of the form itself. Beyond Pansori, she has extended her identity through collaborations with artists in jazz, Gyeonggi folk songs, electronic music, classical music, band music, video art, dance, theater, and musicals.
Seunghee Lee began studying Pansori at the age of 11, training under Master Singers Jo Sonyeo, Jeong Hoeseok, and Song Sunseop. Known for her clear and solid voice, she is recognized for her restrained emotional expression and minimal fan movements on stage, offering a modern and unconventional interpretation of traditional Pansori. At Ipkoason Studio, she collaborates across all stages of creative Pansori production, including writing, composing, and directing. In 2018, she was selected as a DAC Artist by Doosan Art Center and presented the Dreaming Person (몽중인) series, a creative work based on Chunhyangga.
Sanghong Lee began his acting career in 1999 with the theatre company Contemporary Era (극단 동시대) and continued his extensive work with Hanyang Repertory Company. He served as a Season Actor at the National Theatre Company of Korea, and in 2021, he was nominated for the Best Actor Award (Theatre Division) at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for his performance in The Tragedy of X.
Holly Austin is an award-winning Australian multi-disciplinary performer known for her distinctive vocal dexterity and bold, playful approach to theatre-making. Holly is the co-creator of Ruby’s Wish, the acclaimed solo work Dr AudiYO’s Giant Adventure, and is currently developing Kite Choir: A Global Sky Symphony, a large-scale participatory artwork amplifying children’s voices through sound and flight.
