Tamara Harrison appointed as Sydney Opera House Head of Children, Families and Creative Learning

The Sydney Opera House today announced that Tamara Harrison has been appointed to the role of Head of Children, Families and Creative Learning, joining the artistic leadership team of the Opera House's internal programming arm, Sydney Opera House Presents. In this role, Harrison will oversee a year-round program that aims to inspire young people, families, students and educators through performing arts experiences, workshops, talks and creative play.

Words And Sounds Vol. 1, celebrating its 20th anniversary in an Australian exclusive at Vivid LIVE as part of Vivid Sydney, the largest festival of light, music and ideas in the Southern Hemisphere.

Finnish education expert Pasi Sahlberg hosts conversation series at the Opera House

Finnish writer, practitioner and researcher of education, Pasi Sahlberg, will host a series of three conversations in April, June and October in the Sydney Opera House Utzon Room with national and international education thought-leaders Eddie Woo and Amie Albrecht, Maggie MacDonnell and Dr. Michael Rich. The conversation series invites parents, grandparents, caregivers, educators and students to discuss the urgency for education reform in Australia in passionate, participatory conversation.

American Psycho - The Musical to premiere at the Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Opera House today announced that American Psycho - The Musical will be presented in the Sydney Opera House Playhouse from 4 – 21 June, 2020. Sexy, dark and disturbing, the production is returning after a successful season at the Hayes Theatre Co. in 2019 that earned the musical nine 2020 Sydney Theatre Awards.
