Experience the pinnacle of Chinese opera with the return of the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theatre's finest singers to Australia, joined by Julie Lea Goodwin, principal soprano from Opera Australia. They will perform selected Chinese operas, beautifully accompanied by exquisite piano.

The first half features beloved Chinese art songs inspired by profound classical Chinese poetry, while the second half showcases excerpts from renowned operas like The White-Haired Girl, Little Second Brother Gets Married, and more, capturing the essence of Chinese opera.

The Tallis Scholars

Award-winning British vocal ensemble, The Tallis Scholars return to the Sydney Opera House for the first time in over two decades with an unmissable program inspired by the timeless beauty of Gregorian chant. The Tallis Scholars are renowned for their stunning cappella performances and exquisite recordings of sacred vocal music. The choir first sang at the Sydney Opera House in 1985, 40 years ago, and has returned five times since.
