Make the most of a day out at the Opera House by going on our 1-hour tour followed by a lunch at one of the best dining venues by the harbour - Opera Kitchen.

The Sydney Opera House is one of the most iconic buildings in the world and this is your chance to join us on a guided experience beneath its sails. Step inside and discover the extraordinary stories of this vibrant performance space.

Be amongst the first to also venture into our new purpose-built space to witness unforgettable moments from past Concert Hall performances, brought to life by a 270 degree immersive digital experience.

After the tour enjoy a show-stopping meal at Opera Kitchen, Sydney's newest market food hall by Matt Moran, located beside the famous sails with some of the best views of Sydney Harbour.

You will have the opportunity to visit some of the Opera House's many venues and theatres however please note the Concert Hall is currently closed as it is undergoing renewal works to improve theatre machinery, acoustics and accessibility.  Click here to learn more about the Concert Hall renewal works. 

COVID-safe and tour information

The health, safety and wellbeing of everyone at the Opera House is our priority. When you return to the Opera House, you will notice some important changes that have been implemented to keep the community safe, which are regularly reviewed and updated in consideration of the Public Health Order prevailing at the time. Please follow our conditions of entry at all times:

  • Patrons aged 16 years and over entering the building or attending the Opera House’s bars and restaurants are required to be fully vaccinated unless lawfully exempt (under 16s not fully vaccinated must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult from their household);
  • QR code check-in – all patrons and their guests must continue to check-in using the Service NSW QR code;   
  • Face masks are required for patrons aged 12 years and over while inside our theatres and foyers, including during the tour;
  • We encourage you to purchase your tour in advance online or via phone where you’ll receive an eTicket. Please bring this with you and present it upon check-in at the Welcome Centre located on the Lower Concourse;
  • To help maintain physical distancing, tours will not exceed 15 guests per tour; and
  • As you move around the Opera House, practise physical distancing (1.5 metres whenever possible) and follow the guidance provided by our staff and signage.

These conditions may change between the time of purchase and the tour date. Ticketholders will be contacted directly regarding any changes to their tour.

Opera Kitchen is Sydney's newest market food hall by Matt Moran. Take a seat in the shadow of the Opera House sails for simple, fresh food with a view before or after your tour.  Choose from one of the following delicious dishes:

For the adults

  • Salmon sashimi, edamame, avocado, shiso and sesame poke bowl (GF)
  • Kombu ramen with tofu, sweet corn and shiitake
  • Tonkotsu ramen with braised pork, bamboo shoot, black fungi and soy egg
  • Rigatoni with veal ragù and parmesan
  • Panzanella salad with cucumber, onion, basil, tomatoes and croutons 
  • Pork Katsu Sandwich with cabbage, bulldog sauce and kewpie

All meals come with a choice of one drink: a glass of red, white or sparkling, local Australian beer, juice or soft drink.

For the kids

  • Tomato and parmesan pasta 
  • Chicken karaage and chips
  • Grilled chicken tenders and salad

All kids meals include a choice of one soft drink or juice.
