Teodor Doré reimagines the legacy of Rachmaninoff in his acclaimed Variations, premiered at Carnegie Hall and now brought to Australian audiences for the first time.

Crimean-born, London-based pianist and composer Teodor Doré makes his Australian debut with a program of solo piano transcriptions of Rachmaninoff’s works (as a prologue of the piano trio program) alongside his own compositions. Following a sold-out Carnegie Hall premiere, his album Rachmaninoff Variations - recorded at Abbey Road Studios and praised by BBC Radio 3 as “fascinating” - continues to receive international acclaim. Doré is the first musician granted permission by the Rachmaninoff family to orchestrate the composer’s lost Suite in D minor. The world premiere and studio recording will take place in Budapest in October 2025. His interpretation offers a rare and deeply personal insight into Rachmaninoff’s early style and artistic legacy.
