Once every three years the Olympics of the piano arrives into town. From 5 – 22 July 2023 the 13th edition of the prestigious Sydney International Piano Competition will be held in the Verbrugghen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Finals with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House. 32 young pianists from around the world will travel to Sydney to battle it out to be crowned the Grand First Prize Winner and to reap the accolades and bathe in the global spotlight of the music world. The final and most exhilarating week of performances, with two orchestras, will draw together almost three weeks of competition and culminate with the announcement of the 2023 Grand First Prize Winner.
