Our event partner Trippas White Group will guide you every step of the way, from delivering a mouthwatering menu to flawless service with the support of a dedicated wedding planner to deliver a truly memorable event.
Esteemed chef Danielle Alvarez has also joined the Trippas White Group as Culinary Director of the Yallamundi Rooms at the Opera House. Danielle is one of Australia’s most celebrated female chefs and she has developed tailored wedding menus that draw on her dedication to seasonality and the joy and connection of sharing food, as well as championing local producers.
Please note wedding ceremonies at the Sydney Opera House include a venue hire fee and a minimum spend on food and beverages with our event partner, Trippas White Group, so you can make the most of your special day. Our venues are not available for venue hire only.
Additionally, some venues across the Opera House are predominantly performing arts venues with limited availability and can only be booked with a short-lead time.

Yallamundi Rooms
Our newest venue, the Yallamundi Rooms, are designed to accommodate a range of events and includes access to an outdoor space - making the most of the spectacular harbour views.
Utzon Room
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Utzon tapestry, this space combines elegance, intimacy and eastern harbour views through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Joan Sutherland Theatre Northern Foyers
With spaces across three levels; Granite, Lounge and Bar, impress your guests with the signature red carpets and breathtaking water views.
Concert Hall Northern Foyers
With luxurious purple carpets, uninterrupted views of the Harbour Bridge and spaces on offer across three levels, the Concert Hall Northern Foyers is one of our grandest venues.

Frequently asked questions
External catering or self-catering within our venues is not permitted with the exception of a wedding cake. However, please speak with our events specialists for specific permissions in relation to BYO beverage, cakeage and applicable charges.
Within your exclusive spaces there are no restrictions on styling, however, no naked flames are permitted. There are some restrictions on styling external and public spaces. You may use your own suppliers or our Event Partner, Trippas White Group can help you organise styling and theming for your event.
Please speak with our friendly event specialists about any audio-visual requirements. Please note, there is a charge for any audio-visual equipment hire.
Most of the Opera House's venues are accessible and our events team are here to help you with any inquiries you may have.

You can catch public transport (bus, train, ferry) to Circular Quay and enjoy a 6 min walk to the Opera House. If you’re getting dropped off in a car head to the roundabout at the bottom of Macquarie Street where staff will direct you to a safe place to pull over.
Driving? Park in Wilson’s Car Park, you’re just minutes to your venue.
Under the Sails: Andy and Don
Andy and Don met in a bar in their early twenties. 25 years later they arrived at the Opera House by water taxi surprising their guests, to be married at sunset, framed by the sails and sweeping harbour views.
Under the Sails: Christopher & Rajini
Meet Christopher and Rajini. From an observatory meet cute, to a gorgeous multicultural ceremony, the happy couple chose the Yallamundi Rooms to celebrate, surrounded by family, friends and views of the spectacular Sydney Harbour.
Under the Sails: Roz and Electra
Roz and Electra met through work in 2015 and seven years later they were married under the sails as one of the first female couples to be married at the Opera House, in a bold and beautiful ceremony in the Joan Sutherland Theatre Northern Foyer (JSTNF).
