ARIA Award-nominated future-soul superstar Ngaiire returns to the Sydney Opera House for a genre-defying concert with the Sydney Symphony and GODTET.

“A near perfect slice of hushed future soul” – Rolling Stone

In 2022, Ngaiire and the Sydney Symphony gave a sold-out performance on the Forecourt as part of Sydney Opera House’s 50th anniversary celebrations, with thousands of people captivated by this extraordinary performer.

Ngaiire returns to where it all began combining her innovative fusion of electronic future-soul, gospel and R&B pop with the powerful sounds of the Sydney Symphony. Celebrating the release of a new live album from that Forecourt concert, Ngaiire will perform songs that made her famous.

Opening the concert will be a driving force of Sydney’s local scene, GODTET, performing their GODTET +STRINGS project with members of the Sydney Symphony. The brainchild of Australian instrumentalist and producer Godriguez, GODTET perform meditative, improvisational jazz that has captivated audiences around the nation.

Mozart & Harrison

The combination of clarinet and strings is a perfect match, the mellow woodwind balanced beautifully against the sprightly strings. Mozart was the first to explore this combination in his Clarinet Quintet of 1789, written for Anton Stadler, the most gifted clarinettist in Vienna at the time. Across four exquisite movements we hear a gentle lullaby, a lively dance and lyrical passages that could almost be opera arias; while the clarinet is first among equals, all five instruments shine in this exquisite piece.
