East Meets West in Concert

Presented as part of the 2026 Australian Festival of Arts & Music, this special afternoon concert at the Sydney Opera House brings together acclaimed guzheng artist Lu Jing alongside Australian conductor Luke Spicer, leading Australian chamber musicians, Chinese and Australian choirs in a powerful celebration of cultural exchange and musical collaboration.

The concert features a program inspired by China–Australia friendship, including celebrated guzheng works such as Fisherman’s Song at Dusk (《渔舟唱晚》), Jasmine Fragrance (《茉莉芬芳》), and Butterfly Lovers (《梁祝》), performed with guzheng, piano and string quintet.

The afternoon also showcases performances by international visiting choirs alongside local Australian choir ensembles and soloists, highlighting friendship, youth, artistic excellence, and the unifying power of music.
